Parlez FrançaisKCFF brings French-language films to Kingston that wouldn’t otherwise make it to this market. French language cinema in Canada is renowned for its excellence. Come see what all the fuss is about – you might see one of these films collect an Oscar or a Genie come spring. What films will you see this year? Feature line up to be announced Feb 16.
Part of the festival mandate is to offer something for everyone, including film’s most imaginative audiences – youth. KCFF offers workshops to young filmmakers that wil help them build skills and learn to work as a team to create a group project. Check out this year's youth programs.
The Local Filmmaking Initiative makes sure Kingston-based films and filmmakers have a place at the heart of the festival. Short films with a strong Kingston connection are paired with each feature film and a shorts package – which plays several short films back-to-back in a feature-length screening – is one of the most popular events at the festival. See your city through someone else’s lens. What local shorts are playing this year? Find out later this February.
