KINGSTON CANADIAN FILM FESTIVAL PRESENTS HIGH SCHOOL OUTREACH	
Showcase of Canadian films to be held at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School 

Kingston – The Kingston Canadian Film Festival is pleased to announce the Reel Canada 
High School Outreach program, to be held Friday February 29 at Holy Cross Catholic 
Secondary School. The Outreach will run in conjunction with the 2008 Kingston Canadian Film 
Festival, which will take place February 27 to March 2. Full information about this year’s event, 
including the complete feature film schedule and ticket information, is available on the Festival’s

The Reel Canada High School Outreach is presented by the Kingston Canadian Film Festival 
in partnership with Reel Canada, a Toronto-based organization designed to foster awareness 
about and appreciation for Canadian film. “Reel Canada was the perfect partner for the High 
School Outreach. They are as dedicated and passionate about Canadian film as we are. Plus, 
they have a lot of valuable experience in bringing this type of event to life,” says Festival 
Director Alison Migneault.

Using a programming process where the students themselves choose the films, The Rocket 
(Charles Biname, 2005), Project Grizzly (Peter Lynch, 1996) and an Animation Programme 
were selected for the one-day film festival. Peter Lynch, director of Project Grizzly will be 
present at the screening of his film.  

The Reel Canada High School Outreach is presented in partnership with Reel Canada and made 
possible through a project grant from the City of Kingston Arts Fund. The Kingston Canadian Film 
Festival is proudly presented by The Kingston Whig-Standard and Cogeco. The Festival operates in 
partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival Group and receives funding from the Ontario 
Arts Council, The City of Kingston, the Kingston Arts Council, Artsvest, the Ontario Trillium 
Foundation, Business for the Arts, The Community Foundation of Greater Kingston and the George 
Taylor Richardson Memorial Fund.
