Synopsis

Near a major highway, in a nameless country, the rebellious Coralie tries to understand the recent departure of her mentally unstable mother. Jacob, old and passive, attempts to present himself as a father figure. The return of Pierrot, an ex-con, to the neighbourhood, and the frightening presence of the bandits next door, do nothing to help Coralie free herself from the violence and secrets of her past.

Aux abords d’une grande route, dans un coin de pays sans nom, la frondeuse Coralie comprend mal le départ récent de sa mère psychologiquement instable. Passif, le vieux Jacob tente maladroitement de lui offrir une figure paternelle valable. Le retour dans les parages de l’ex-prisonnier Pierrot ou les présences intimidantes des colorés bandits voisins, n’aident en rien le combat de Coralie pour atteindre une vie nouvelle, libérée de la violence sourde et des secrets du passé.
